Lucky Tigers at the Kenton Club!

Casey and I went to see her brother play with his band Lucky Tigers, at the nearby World Famous Kenton Club. "World famous", the clubowners tell us, because it was featured in a little-known Raquel Welch roller-derby movie. The Lucky Tigers rule absolutely, and if you live in Portland you should find a way to see them. Go visit them on myspace.

Here I'm fooling around with racking the zoom lens during a long exposure.

Lucky Tigers at Billy Ray's!

Lucky Tigers are one of Casey's brother Ryan's bands, and they rule! Highlights of the set include Groucho Marx' "Whatever It Is I'm Against It", "Cookie Day", "I Love Little Girls" and "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds". You have to be lucky yourself to catch them because their name is written in Chinese, as a kind of spiked fist to the groin socket of potential fame and fortune. Here's their MySpace page.

I thought I had the dynamite shots from hell crouched down in front of the band with the 24mm lens. It's OK, not the panzerfaust to the groin I was hoping for.

I climb onto the pinball machine to get this one.

Tha guitarist, who rocks. I don't know his name.

Update: Jeffrey!
